Most electrical jobs start with something small and annoying: a breaker that trips every time the heater and the jug run together, a power point that crackles, a hallway that has always been too dark. We treat those symptoms as clues, not just tasks — the point of the visit is to leave the house genuinely safer and easier to live in, with the cause explained in plain language before any work starts.

Switchboards are the heart of it. Older boards with rewireable fuses or tired breakers were never designed for heat pumps, induction cooking, and home offices all running at once. We check board capacity and protection, and where an upgrade is due we fit modern protection, label every circuit properly, and test the whole board before we sign it off. If your board needs work before a heat pump can go in, the same team does both — that is the whole advantage of a dual-trade installer.

New power points, lighting changes, and repairs round out the everyday work: extra double sockets where the family actually charges things, pendant and task lighting that suits the room, replacement of damaged fittings, and methodical fault-finding when something keeps tripping and nobody can say why. We trace the fault to its source rather than swapping parts hopefully, and we show you what failed and why.

For new builds we wire to the plans and coordinate with your builder — points, lighting, and switchboard positions exactly where they were drawn, tested and certified on handover. For existing homes we cut in with care: tidy holes, patched and finished, cables run where they should be, and switchgear that matches the house.
